For the cold storage of products in the food- , chemical- and health- industry, polyurethane insulation materials are also used in the wings of the cold storage doors, similar to the cold storage panels in order to provide proper insulation.

It is of importance that in the production of cold storage doors thermal insulation is taken into account, and it is also important that there are no heat-bridges on the door case and wing (leaf). To prevent heat transfer between the door case/leaf and the concrete floor/leaf, door seals are used, which are important accessories for the cold storage as a whole.

Another major part of the cold storage is the cold store door, produced and designed according to the needs, which have different names by the shape and function such as; Hinged/impact, sliding/slide doors, folding doors, Controlled Atmosphere Room Doors and Cold Room Door.

Frozen Room Doors
In the food industry and others frozen products are kept in frozen casing storages which are below the -18 ºC. The doors used at these storages are named as Frozen Room Doors, the thermal insulation and heat-bridges at those doors are even more importance.

The Frozen Room Doors can be produced and designed in each measure, to prohibit iciness which can be caused due to the high difference of temperature between the room and outdoor additional accessories are required.

Controlled Atmosphere Room Doors

While being preserved in the cold rooms the fruit and vegetables breathe, during the breathing action they turn the oxygen into carbon dioxide. Storing fruit & vegetables with atmosphere gases at levels that we want means that even months after the harvesting, the fruit and vegetables maintain its quality.

The atmosphere gases in the rooms can escape via the cold storage doors. To prevent such a gas leak additional techniques are applied to the doors and that makes these rooms Controlled Atmosphere Room Doors.

The doors (which are used at the Controlled Atmosphere Rooms wherein gas-tightness is very crucial) are supported by using special doors seals, extra locks and if wanted a surveillance/observation window on the door leaf. Also, if required a threshold profile can be added to prevent any leaks between the door leaf and the concrete ground.
